What to Expect During Your DOT Exam?
The DOT physical is a straightforward assessment of your overall health and physical capabilities.
To ensure a smooth visit, please bring your driver's license and a list of any current medications.
A basic urine test is required to screen for underlying medical conditions, such as undiagnosed diabetes or kidney issues. Note: This is a medical screening, not a drug test.
Once you pass the exam, we complete the Medical Examination Report and provide you with your Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC), allowing you to keep your commercial driver’s license (CDL) valid and active.
We review your medical background, including any history of chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, or sleep apnea, as well as any recent surgeries or medications.
